Life can be so hard. Like, I bought this new phone, right, and when I unpacked it I also dug out an USB chord which means that I can download little things like music from my computer to its memory card. Which means that all the hours I spent browsing the net trying to find the perfect ring tone were all wasted as the problem rose instantly to another level completely. It can't be that hard to decide which Corvus Corax song would make the best ring tone, can it? Or should it be something by Qntal? Or Kotiteollisuus? Then there are always the classics, Links 2 3 4 and Sehnsucht never fail to please.
Argh. What if I never find the one? Will I be doomed to listen to the infamous Nokia tune for ever?
In other news, the kitten has grown and had her first vaccinations a week ago. The vet sang her praises like there'd been no tomorrow, Mimmi was, in her opinion, very calm but had a healthy dose of curiosity in her, she was very well-behaved and even her stripes were fancy. Of course, I have to agree but I really think that the vet ought to have seen her hanging from my winter coat, the curtains and the back of the sofa by her claws before making any profound declarations.
Damn. I think I'll go with the song Veris Dulcis. The Tempi Antiqui version, I believe there's another take on the song on the Seikilos album. I tried to find a sample but couldn't so here's something completely different. It ought to make noises when you hover the cursor over it.
The critter on the right is Mimmi, my interior decorator, tattoo artist and, apparently, owner.
She came home yesterday and after few hours spent cautiously exploring all the nooks and crannies of her new home she promptly invaded first the sofa and then the bed all the time demanding attention. Of which I'm glad, of course, since a overly shy and timid cat is not as nice as a pet. What Mimmi does when she wants to be picked up (that is, when she to her great frustration relizes that she's still too tiny to jump up high enough) is to jump up and down making all kinds of noises until she gets her way. Though today we've practised the art of trouser-leg climbing. She may be small and cute but her claws can sink to the bone.
She's a lively little thing for sure. And has a purr loud enough to rattle windows. And she just fell asleep on my lap and is all warm and cuddly and cute (and making my legs go numb. But I just don't have the heart to disturb her).
Here's a short video of Mimmi with her absolute favourite toy.
