Been wondering what I've been up to? Probably not but I'm going to tell you anyway. You see, I've been busy making this

That's my new bedroom. Of course it didn't look like that when I bought the place, it had layer upon layer of lovely floral wallpaper which just had to go, in the name of all that is good in this world. The living room (yes, I have one now) and the kitchen (a proper kitchen! Can you imagine?) had to undergo the same treatment, though fortunately the kitchen only needed a new layer of paint and the living room walls sported only one layer of wallpaper which peeled off at the merest touch.

The work is not done yet, the bedroom is finished and nearly all the walls painted but the floor is installed only in the bedroom and half a living room. I currently live amongst all my belongings in the bedroom which is probably only good as I've yet to come to terms with the fact that my living quarters have suddenly doubled in size.

I owe so much to A, H and my sis for painting and tearing off the wallpaper, dad for all the technical stuff (he's doing the floors) and my mom for cleaning this place up for good. I mean, I've walked in on her cleaning the stove with an old toothbrush and some cotton sticks. Also, I owe something special to A and sis for helping me to move in here on last Saturday; we packed, loaded, unloaded and carried stuff all day. Huge thanks, guys. Like the they say in the Oscar gala, I couldn't have done this without you.

In fact I've been so busy that Rammstein's brand new live DVD, Völkerball, which was delivered already on the 22nd, has been lying untouched for a whole week. I've grand pans for next weekend, I'll get a nice bottle of white wine, some snacks, turn off the phone and let the boys loose.


On a sadder note, R.I.P Juhani "Juice" Leskinen. I'd like to write something profound about the nation's common memory and stuff but since there are people who can do it better I'll just say thank you, sir, and bon voyage!
