tired but happy

What an amazing thing, the internet. Without it I'd have spent last weekend home, avoiding all household chores at all costs and got nothing done instead of meeting wonderful people, seeing the sights of Berlin and downing drinks at a local metal bar.

To those who think that internet only alienates people from the society and whatnot I'd like to say ha! And once more, ha!

I forgot to pack my camera so unfortunately this time there'll be no photos but believe you me, great fun was had, time and money was spent in most excellent of ways and life in general was enjoyed a lot.

Thunder & lightning

I guess it's officially autumn now, It rained nearly all day yesterday and today it's been thundering for the most part of the day. After the extremely dry summer I find listening to raindrops hitting the window a very pleasurable sound indeed, though having to stay indoors all day has given me a somewhat annoying headache. I don't know, I might be tempted to brave the elements for a little while and take quick walk around the block. There's only so much doing nothing at all one can take.

I got an email from the dog breeder on Friday. Unfortunately the mama dog had not gotten pregnant at all so there won't be any four-legged christmas presents this time, but they are trying again in March so that if things turn out all right I'll have a puppy in summer. Oh well. That's nature for you. At least I'll get the moving and renovation business over with properly, and quite possibly can fix my summer holiday so that I can spend some proper quality time with the baby dog once she arrives. Of course, there's the big if looming around this time too so I shan't be buying any squeaky toys just yet lest I jinx the whole deal.

Today's soundtrack besides thunder:
David Attenborough and the fascinating Life Of Mammals first on BBC Prime and then on Animal Planet. Ask me anything about primates or wild cats and dogs.
