What ho!
Another wild wild weekend gone, the Friday night spent taking a bath and going to bed early as I had to work on Saturday and the Saturday evening spent curled up under a quilt watching Jeeves And Wooster, season 2 on DVD. I swear, this kind of life only leads to an early grave.
The next week I'll continue on the path to desperation and doom, a.k.a apartment hunting. So far I've encountered a couple of total disater zones, had the apartment snatched from under my nose by someone who had more money on their disposal, listened to a party next door with a somewhat professional air to it, so to speak, and read a couple of emails from the sales agent saying the the apartment I would have wanted to see was already sold. The word of the day is UPDATE, kthx.
I don't ask for much, I really don't. I just want a nice, calm neighbourhood, a nice apartment, preferably with a balcony though a sauna in the building is a must, about a half an hour away from the city. That's all. Enough space for me, my fish and a dog or two. And possibly a cat as well. A little place I could call home sweet home and from which I would never roam or whatever it was the song said.
Why can't life be like in those magazines which are full of pictures of airy, light apartments with enough room for a pony?
On the note of fish, mine seem to have gone completely off their rocker. The old filter I had in the tank broke down and the new one I bought creates a somewhat stronger current which, apparently, has triggered some ancient instinct in them and now they imagine they are, in fact, salmon. What lurks in the mind of a fish, one cannot fathom.
And because one cannot have enough "awww" in one's day, here's a random video of a group of kittens taking their first steps.
