Goodness, I Suck at Inventing Headlines
What a strange day this has been. First of all, no work, no school. What do people do on their days off?
Secondly, I didn't have to wake up at 7.30 to the melodious sound of someone taking a power drill to the wall - it resonates beautifully in the entire building and it's a sound you can not escape unless you leave the house. I've been mostly doing the 12-20 shift at work, and while I do think that leaving early for work is all well and proper, leaving that early would be pure overkill.
Also, I have been now officially 29 years old for two days now and so far no big change has occurred. I do not feel particularly grown-up, or any more responsible than what I have been this far. Unless you count the sudden urge to clean and do laundry I got this morning (see-through windows. What a novel idea) which in my case is unusual and always a bit strange. The trouble of cleaning a single-room apartment, as I have said before, is that while it seem a simple and quickly done task, there's always a ton of stuff in your way and there's really nowhere to put it while you clean. On the other hand, living in a flat this small has probably honed my logistic skills into a fine point.
But I had a good b-day party. I hope everyone else enjoyed it as well. Next year I'm relying on H to organize something a bit more extravagant but the good old combination of going to a bar the previous night and then curing the hangover by the means of a picnic on the second day is almost unbeatable, IMO.
Today has been a day to listen to different Rammstein remixes. Almost all the different versions of Keine Lust (the Psychosonic remix, the Bozz remix and the Jazz remix (weirdness redefined...), plus Ich zähl die Fliegen remix) have been duly listened to, and the version of Ohne dich Laibach has made I have listened to so many times that I can't sing the original lyrics any more. I mean, every time Till Lindemann launches into the chorus: Ohne dich kann ich nicht sein... I grab my hair brush and go, as they sing in the remix: Ohne mich kannst du nicht sein...
Oh, and the hot news of the day is, that the Rammstein setlist in Ruisrock might include Asche zu Asche. *listens to the crickets in the distance* OK, I'm the only one excited.
But the most important question still remains: What am I going to wear to the festival???

Happy (belated) birthday! And don't worry about the cleaning urges - the high point of my week has been using the brand new washing machine. Oooooh, joy!
And as for fashion advice for festivals - it has to be black, really, doesn't it? (Or a grey long sleeved Heirate Mich shirt, of course). Or maybe the old black t-shirt with jeans thing is just my own personal habit. Hey, at least it doesn't show the beer / mud / grass stains.......
